Course Description

This course aims to introduce students to a broad variety of topics relevant to the accounting for banking and insurance. The course covers; basic accounting definition and concepts, introduction to accounting systems in banks, accounting for deposits and other liabilities, accounting for loans and other lending transactions, accounting for foreign exchange transactions, adjusting transactions and financial tables. Also this course covers an introduction to insurance accounting, accounting for production-premium, accounting for reinsurance transactions, adjusting transactions and financial tables.
